  • How old do I have to be to qualify?
    • You must be, at least, 23 years old for our Flatbed Division
  • How much experience do I need?
    • You must have a minimum of 2 years of Class A experience for our Flatbed Division
      • If you don’t have any flatbed experience, that’s ok! We will train!
  • How much money can I make?
    • In 2017, Company Drivers in this fleet averaged $54,500 Gross
    • On a rate/mile basis, these drivers averaged $0.68/mile (all miles)
  • How often will I be home?
    • Every 1 to 2 weeks within routed flatbed area
  • Do I have to tarp?
    • Yes, the majority of our loads will require tarping
  • What kind of trucks to you have?
    • Late model Western Stars
  • How much “sitting” is there?
    • Very Little! Our flatbed freight is very consistent and averages less than 12% deadhead.
  • Where do you run?
    • Draw a triangle from Wisconsin to Dallas, TX to South Carolina and back up and you'll have the core area of our Flatbed Fleet.
  • Do I have to go to Canada or Mexico?
    • NO
  • Are the truck speeds governed?
    • Yes. Company trucks are set to 68 mph
  • Do you have fuel cards?
    • Yes, Comdata Cards
    • The daily fuel limit is $750

  • Can I get an advance?
    • Yes, Company drivers can receive $150 per week.
  • Do I have to haul “Superloads”?
    • No! This division does not haul “Superloads”
  • Do you have a “Rider” program?
    • Yes, for $22.00/month you can have a passenger older than 14 years old. See Safety to sign up.
  • Is it “Forced Dispatch”?
    • Company Drivers are preplanned
  • Do you have customer freight?
    • Yes, our focus is customer freight. We have been around since 1964 and have a large customer base.
  • Do you have a “Pet program”?
    • Yes, for Company Drivers a $1000 security deposit is required.
      • *Note - We do a lot of work for the Department of Defense as well as freight pickups from the ports. Keep in mind that these customers, among others, may not allow pets on site.
  • Do you have additional incentives?
    • Yes! All drivers are eligible for our Driving for Green rewards for categories such as safety, driver referrals, and customer service!

    • No, our group of Agents and Account Managers work in front of you continually to offer or preplan your next load. However, if you have access to freight, we are not opposed to exploring other possibilities

    • YES! Company Drivers are paid by Direct Deposit.
  • How often will I get paid?
    • Company drivers are paid every other week, as long as paperwork is received by each Monday 8am
  • Will I have an opportunity to progress in my qualification level?
    • Yes. All drivers will be evaluated periodically and given the opportunity to develop skills necessary to advance.
